Psychological Capacity Assessment (PCA)

stressPCA's were developed by us to respond to the need to more objectively validate and quantify the level of psychological illness, in particular in those experiencing stress, depression and anxiety, in order to establish the functional impact of those symptoms on ability to work. The PCA process accesses through interview, the taking of a medical history and peer reviewed objective measures, the support an individual might require in order to safely and sustainably perform their work.

The PCA process has also been developed by us as a clinical tool to assess the functional and cognitive impact of those suffering with dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia. It is also a valid tool when assessing short and longer term memory recall, e.g. following TIA, head trauma or early onset dementia, and assists forward vocational planning and the provision of relevant reasonable adjustments in the workplace for those with a proven functional deficit.

The PCA is also an important clinical instrument for determining treatment or other interventions that may be appropriate.
